Ullas has done several consulting assignments involving process consulting, IT strategy and portfolio analysis and program management for clients in the US, Middle East, Japan, Malaysia and India. He has worked with several leading Indian companies for improving their business performance through operational excellence.
Ullas is a certified Theory of Constraints practitioner certified by TOC International Certification Organization (TOCICO). He has been an assessor for CII-EXIM Bank award for Business Excellence, the Indian equivalent of Malcom Baldrige award, based on EFQM Business Excellence model.
Earlier, Ullas led the sales support function for accenture's global insurance clients. In this capacity, he was involved in a number of large deals won by accenture. Ullas set up the Industry Program for Financial Services at accenture's India Delivery Center. He designed and implemented a 3-tier domain training program for Banking, Insurance and Capital Markets. He also performed the role of the Insurance Domain Lead in this program and conducted training on Insurance. Ullas managed large off-shore delivery teams for global Insurance clients. He supervised an off shore team of more than 500 professionals. He set up the Gurgaon Delivery Center for accenture. As the Location Lead, he built the Gurgaon team growing it to over 1400 people in two years.
