Ramababu is the former Managing Director of EID Parry (I) Ltd, Vice Chairman & MD of Gokaldas Exports Ltd and Chief Mentor of Rajshree Sugars Limited. He is a highly-trained human-resources and industrial-relations professional who evolved into a multifaceted leader.
He has four and half decades of experience in various Industries. However, he is an acknowledged expert in the area of sugar and its by-products having spent two decades there. Over the past ten years he has worked with several consulting companies, advising on issues of strategy, organizational change and transformation and the turnaround of companies.
He is the only professional to become the President of ISMA (Indian Sugar Mills Association) in the year 2006–07 and was instrumental in bringing about major reforms in the industry and earned the respect of its members and the Government of India. During his stint, he facilitated a report along with KPMG on “Vision 2017: The Sector Road Map 2017” for the Indian Sugar Industry. He is now a permanent member of the association.
Ramababu was Co-Chairman of the CII National Task Force on Sugar in 2012-13 and a Member of the CII National Council on Agriculture from 2015. A recipient of Life Time achievement award from National Institute of Personnel Management Southern Indian and the Sugar Technology Association of India, he continues to be an energetic and voracious speaker in India and international forums.
He is also a life time member of various organizations like ISMA, NIPM, ISTD, SUMEDAS, and STAI.
A firm believer that people are key for any organizational transformation. His ideas are practical and insightful that have helped individuals, leaders, and organizations.
Currently, he serves on the Boards of Indian Sugar Exim Corporation, & Fertis India Pvt Ltd. Co-founder & Director at Lakshya Strategic Consultants & Sadhana Agritech Services. In the past, he was on the Boards of CMS Info Systems Ltd and Bunge India Pvt Ltd.
He holds a Post Graduate degree in Social Work from Andhra University, and graduated from the Executive Management Program from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA, 1993.
In his professional tenure, Sanjay has handled multiple clients and industries, led new business pitches and built strategic priorities for clients like Incredible India, Sprite, KFC, Maruti, Honda, Hindustan Times, Mint, Vodafone, Dabur, Pernod-Ricard, Mondelez etc. He can be found featured in Campaign Media’s “A” List of media professionals. One of Sanjay’s key milestones was driving the creative agenda for Ogilvy Delhi, taking the office to great heights and being recognized as one of the leading creative offices in Ogilvy Worldwide.
He did an MBA in Marketing and Finance from IIM Lucknow.
